Collection of records from Sidney, Me. Volume 1 contains marriages solemnized by Asa Wilbur from 1794 to 1840; vol. 2 is an orderly book of Massachusetts militia kept by Matthew Lincoln, clerk from 1796 to 1806; vol. 3 is a record of highway tax from 1833 to 1834.

Ten companies comprised the 12th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Militia: five from Boston, one from North Bridgewater, one from Abington, one from Weymouth, one from Stoughton, and one from Gloucester. After organization was completed, the regiment was ordered to Fort Warren in Boston Harbor.
